Meet Melissa,
Melissa began her real estate career with Village Green Property Management, a renowned Detroit-based company established in 1919. She helped launch Village Suites, a luxury short-term stay brand known for upscale properties and innovative services. A Michigan native and MSU graduate, Melissa's passion for real estate was ignited early by her entrepreneurial parents. Growing up in Leelanau County and Traverse City, where her family has roots spanning four generations, she developed a deep connection to the area's landscapes and communities. With extensive experience in sales and business development across commercial interiors, real estate, architecture, design, and construction, Melissa has held leadership roles such as Director of Leasing at Village Green, and managed global business development for Michigan-based furniture manufacturers in San Francisco.

She also directed enterprise sales for McGraw-Hill’s Construction and Architectural service division, overseeing premier brands like Architectural Record/ENR, SWEETS, and Dodge Data Analytics. In San Francisco, Melissa managed a multi-unit property neighboring Airbnb HQ on Potrero Hill, overseeing residential real estate services and hospitality management for short-term vacation rentals in Lake Tahoe and the Pacific Northwest. Her career has taken her to various regions including Seattle, Colorado, and Orange County, CA, enriching her perspective on diverse real estate markets. In 2003, Melissa expanded her personalized service business to Leelanau County after purchasing a 130-year-old cottage in Leland. Leveraging her expertise in commercial and residential interiors, architecture, and real estate, she curated an exclusive portfolio of properties offering elevated hospitality management and property services. Melissa, alongside her husband Bryan (also an MSU grad), daughter (SKO Buffs), dogs, and horse, divides her time between Northern Michigan’s Leelanau County and the Colorado Rockies.
